Summer may be heating up, but the equestrian calendar in Aiken remains active with hunter/jumper competition, dressage shows, eventing, and educational opportunities throughout the month. Whether you're competing, spectating, or exploring the area before a move, here are the major horse events taking place in and around Aiken during June 2026.
🐴 New Vocations All Thoroughbred Charity Horse Show
Dates: May 29 – June 1, 2026
Location: Highfields Event Center, Aiken, SC
This hunter/jumper competition showcases Thoroughbreds in second careers and supports New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program. Riders compete in a variety of divisions designed specifically for Thoroughbred athletes transitioning into new disciplines.
🐴 PSJ Just For Fun Series
Date: June 6, 2026
Location: Highfields Event Center, Aiken, SC
A relaxed schooling show designed for riders looking to gain experience in a welcoming environment. Suitable for a wide range of horse and rider combinations.
🐴 USEF/USDF Summer Solstice Dressage Show
Dates: June 13–14, 2026
Location: Stable View, Aiken, SC
A recognized USEF/USDF dressage competition featuring qualifying opportunities and professional judging. Competitors range from introductory levels through upper-level dressage.
🐴 Working Equitation Show
Dates: June 13–14, 2026
Location: Stable View, Aiken, SC
Held concurrently with the dressage competition, this Working Equitation event welcomes riders of all breeds and experience levels. The sport combines dressage, obstacle negotiation, and practical horsemanship skills.
🐴 Aiken Summer Classics I
Dates: June 10–14, 2026
Location: Bruce's Field, Aiken Horse Park
USEF Premier AA-rated hunter/jumper competition featuring national-level exhibitors, professional riders, junior competitors, and amateur divisions. Spectators are welcome.
🐴 Aiken Summer Classics II
Dates: June 17–21, 2026
Location: Bruce's Field, Aiken Horse Park
The second week of the Summer Classics continues top-level hunter/jumper competition with featured classes, jumper divisions, hunter championships, and exhibitor activities.
🐴 Stable View Summer Horse Trials
Dates: June 20–21, 2026
Location: Stable View, Aiken, SC
USEA-recognized horse trials featuring dressage, cross-country, and stadium jumping. Divisions typically range from Starter through upper levels, attracting competitors from across the Southeast.
🐴 PSJ Summer Celebration
Dates: June 19–21, 2026
Location: Highfields Event Center, Aiken, SC
A summer hunter/jumper show hosted by Progressive Show Jumping, offering competition opportunities for riders of all levels.
🐴 Hunter/Jumper Institute
Date: June 24, 2026
Location: Stable View, Aiken, SC
An educational schooling opportunity designed to help riders refine technique, school courses, and build confidence in a supportive atmosphere. Spectators are welcome.
🐴 Dressage in the Summer
Dates: June 27–28, 2026
Location: Bruce's Field, Aiken Horse Park
This USEF/USDF-recognized dressage competition is part of the Aiken Horse Park's annual dressage series. Riders compete for qualifying scores while spectators enjoy two days of dressage competition at Bruce's Field.
